Intangible assets

Intangible assets (UK: intangible assets) are nonmonetary assets without any physical identification. That is privileges, or a favorable position to generate income. The main types of intangible assets are copyright, exploration and exploitation rights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and goodwill. This type of asset has a life of more than one year (non-current assets) and can be amortized over the period of its utilization, usually not more than 40 years.
